Christmas 2007

In typical form we kept the road hot this Christmas but had a great time as always. We started the weekend by heading to Mimi's house in De Queen. We spent time with her on Saturday and had Christmas with my dad and Dawn Sunday after church. We then headed to Nashville for Christmas at Lolli and Pop's house. After breakfast and presents Monday morning we headed back to DQ for lunch at Uncle Chuck and Aunt Karen's house. We ended up getting back home to LR around 7:00 on Christmas Eve. Mimi and Bubby came up to spend the night with us and we LOVED having them here. We all drank some hot chocolate, watched the Santa radar, read The Night Before Christmas, and discussed the real reason we celebrate, Jesus' Birthday. We got up early Christmas morning to see what Santa had left for the kiddos. Sydney was excited to see a video Ipod for her and Carson seemed to love his baby grand piano toy. Bubby got a Wii for Christmas and as you'll see below we had fun playing it ALL day long. We had so much fun spending time with everyone this Christmas and can't wait until next year!!
Enjoy the pictures.

This Past Week...

Well, I guess I'm due for another update. I've been very busy lately and haven't found much time for blogging. I guess I'll go back to last Friday. Sydney's class has a monthly birthday party (just reading a book, snacks, and gift bags). I volunteered to do December since Syd was one of the birthday girls. After school I took Sydney and her friends Emma and Landyn to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks for her birthday. It was a very cute movie and the girls had a blast. They were WILD!! Saturday we went to Benton for Lyla's 1st birthday party. It was great, Happy Birthday Lyla!! We love the bags...you did an awesome job Sarah. Sunday after church we took the kiddos to the mall for a picture with Santa (picture will be posted soon hopefully). It turned out great. Sydney and I got in a little Christmas shopping Sunday afternoon as well. Monday after school we went to Kerri's so the kids could decorate cookies and paint ornaments. Thanks Kerri and Shane! I had to leave work early on Tuesday when daycare called to tell me that Carson had spots all over him. I took him to the doctor to find out he has Roseola. Luckily he hasn't had the high fever, only about 100 now and then, but the spots look pretty bad. He seems to feel fine so hopefully they will go away soon. We had our girls party Tuesday night at Anna Carol's house. It was great to visit with everyone, especially Erin, who is in the hospital at this moment preparing to be induced. I can't wait to find out if it's him or her and the name. I stayed home with Carson this morning and Cameron's Aunt Joey kept him for the afternoon. Thanks Joey!! Now we are finally out for Christmas break and I'm thrilled. We still have a little last minute shoppng to do, but are very excited about spending time with our families this weekend. After Friday Cameron will be off until the 2nd, so we can't wait to have a little down time.
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Carson update: He weighed 19 7.5lbs. at the doctor Tuesday. He is crawling everywhere (like a normal baby now) and pulling up on everything. He has fallen from his standing position a couple of times and our hard floors don't feel so great on the noggin. He has stared waving (not sure if it's accidental or intentional, but seems to happen at the right times) He is sleepin great, some mornings till 8:00, talking a lot, and eating all kinds of things. His next doctors appointment is the 2nd so their will be a more thorough update then.
Enjoy the pics!

Becoming Buddies

It only looks like Carson is pulling his hair, he was actually very softly patting.

Davis thinking, "What is this kid doing to me?"
Carson and Davis are only about 6 months apart and we are so excited about them growing up together. They have been around each other several times before, but seemed to be more aware of one another today. Carson wanted to get his hands on Davis as usual, and Davis smiled at him a lot. They are so funny together!

Sydney's Birthday Dinner

Sydney and Davis
Sydney will be 7 tomorrow! It seems like she was just born yesterday...times flies. We grilled hamburgers and had cake for her birthday tonight. Uncle Ryan, Aunt Ashley, Davis, Kayla, and Kirby all came over to celebrate. We decided not to have a big "kid" party this year since we did the Hannah Montana Saturday with Bradi, so I wanted to do a little something. We are also taking Sydney and her friends Landyn and Emma to the movies Friday after school. Tonight she got a really sweet book and lip gloss from Kayla, a purse scrapbook with lots of decor and pictures from Ryan and Ash, a Color Wonder spray painter from Carson, and a Hannah Montana Guitar Purse from Lolli and Pop. I think she also got a little cash in the mail from Boppy. :)

Pulling Up

Sunday night we were all on the floor in Carson's room playing when he crawled over to a box of diapers and pulled himself up. He is also enjoying trying to get the hearth to pull up. It's like a game for him. We will really have to watch him until we get something to put over it. I'm not up for any trips to the ER.

Sydney's 7th Birthday

Sydney's 7th birthday isn't actually until the 12th but we celebrated today. Our friends Lacey and Bradi, who's birthday is tomorrow, came up from DQ for the Hannah Montana concert. We decided to make a day of it for their birthdays. We went to Build-a-Bear and waited in line for 2 hours because the stuffing machine was broken...they were stuffing by hand. Of course they got it fixed as our turn was ending, but it was still lots of fun. The girls bought best friend necklaces, had their picture made with Santa, and got matching Hannah shirts for the concert. We had their nails painted at the mall and they did some prissy posing for pictures. After having lunch at Larry's Pizza we headed to the concert. Traffic was awful and they were terrified that we would miss the concert, but we made it in plenty of time. They loved Hannah, Miley, and the Jonas Brothers. Our seats were pretty high (still good), so we walked down to the floor for the last few songs and the security guard didn't seem to mind. They LOVED seeing her up close. We had a great time...I'm so glad we managed to get tickets. I also had a blast getting to hang out with Lacey!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRLS!

In case your wondering were the boys were...they took a trip to Lolli and Pop's so Cam could go hunting. It was my first night away from Carson, but I managed and they said he was a very sweet boy. Oh yeah, he is starting to figure out the knee crawling. He'll be unstoppable in no time. Also, Sydney went to a slumber party for friend Emma's birthday Friday night. I was absolutely childless so I had a dinner with my friends Kristin and Mark. It was great to visit with you guys!!

Crazy Kids and Two Teefies

Are you sure you want to take our picture?!

Carson's bottom teeth
Just thought these pictures of Syd and little Carsy-man were cute. Any picture session with the two of them is quite funny. I also wanted to share Carson's two bottom teeth. They came through a couple weeks ago and are still growing away. Those little boogers sure are sharp!

Carson's First Thanksgiving

We did our usual traveling for Thanksgiving this year. We went to Nashville Wednesday night so Cam could hunt on Thursday. After eating lunch at his Granny's we headed back to Little Rock. We stayed with Mimi and DoDo in Conway Friday night before heading to Searcy Saturday to have dinner at Aunt Robin's. It was great getting to spend time with everyone. Here are a few pictures of Carson enjoying himself as usual.

My Little Pilgrim

Sydney coming in for her Thanksgiving program
"Okay Mom, enough with the pictures"
Sydney was a pilgrim in her Thanksgiving program at school. They sang songs then had pumpkin pie and cranberry juice. It was short, but sweet and terribly crowded. Fulbright is getting WAY too big. I couldn't actually see Syd at all while they were singing. I'm know she did wonderful because I heard the songs at least a thousand times before the program. :)

Miss Priss

I thought I would post this cute picture of Syd. She is back to her prissy self now that she is all well. Carson is our sick baby now. Looks like they are just taking turns. We took him to the doctor Friday for a very bad cough, but turns out he has an ear infection. Shortly after we left he started pulling on his ears and has been pretty fussy ever since. We've started his antibiotic and hopefully he'll be feeling better soon. Cam just got home from another work trip to Florida late last night, so Syd and I took a girls trip to Firefly today to paint some pottery. We left the boys at home napping and had a great time.

Will's Birthday Party

Last Sunday we went to Will's 2nd birthday party at Wonder Place. Will was so excited when Sydney got there so she spent most of her time playing with him. He just loves her and she loves it. Carson had a great time playing in the baby water table. HAPPY BIRTHDAY WILL!!

Carson Crawling

Carson has been crawling, if that's what you call it, for the past couple weeks. He gets up on his knees and rocks back and forth but falls back to his stomach before he starts to crawl. He pulls with his forearm and elbow, and pushes with his feet. One knee gets going but the other won't work with it. He looks like an army guy crawling on the ground.

Halloween

Halloween was a lot of fun this year. We took our pop star, Hannah Montana, and the "Great Pumpkin" to our church for Trunk or Treat. We also did a little trick or treating at the neighbors and Kayla's house. Ryan and Ashley brought Davis by to visit in his chili pepper outfit. We only had a few trick or treaters at our house after we got home, but Syd and I had fun passing out candy.

What an adorable trio
