11 Months

Carson won't actually be 11 months old until the 30th, but since there isn't one this month I figured now was as good a time as any to add some pics. I took these of him playing Monday afternoon. He is such a ham! There are a couple of pictures of him and his big Snoopy. He loves to lay his head on anything soft. I don't know weight, length and all the other stats since we don't go back to the doctor until his 1 year check-up. He is eating anything you put in front of him, but prefers real food rather than baby food. His middle teeth have come in and the two beside them have just cut through. He is cruising around all the furniture, loves to play with toys, and plays peek-a-book. He is still sleeping and napping great, and we've started working with a sippy cup to get him ready for his birthday (that's when the bottle goes bye-bye). I can't believe a whole year has almost passed. I am so excited about planning his first birthday party!!

Flu Bug Bit the Arnold House

Sydney woke up from an unusual afternoon nap yesterday after school complaining of a headache. I knew she felt bad when she didn't want to go to basketball practice. I took her temperature and it was 102.5. I stayed home today and took her to the doctor. They did a strep test and a flu test at the doctor's office. The strep was negative, but he flu...POSITIVE. I really didn't think she had the flu because she doesn't seem that sick, but then again she is a wonderful sick child. Never a whiner or complainer at all...what a trooper! Dr. Levine gave her a prescription for Tamiflu and said she could go back to school Thursday. Luckily Cameron can work from home tomorrow so I can get back to work. Unfortunately I feel a bit under the weather too. I think I possibly have the flu but couldn't get a doctors appointment today. If I do let's hope some NyQuil helps and it goes away soon. Please pray that Cameron and Carson don't get it as well. Cam isn't quite as good of a patient as Sydney and Carson is just too little. ;)

Playin' Ball

Here are a couple of videos of the kiddos playing basketball and bouncy ball. Sydney did AWESOME in her game this past weekend! She scored 8 points. I am amazed at how much she improves each week and she is loving it. I managed to catch a short video of her scoring.

Cameron, Sydney, and Carson started playing with a bouncy ball the other night and we were amazed at Carson actually catching and throwing it a couple of times. Thought you might like to watch. It's a little long, but cute.

A Night @ Home

We love Saturdays at home!! The last few weekends have been busy so this one was great, despite the rain. We also had a great Valentine's Day this past Thursday, although I didn't get any pictures. I had class at UCA from 6-9 so I got up early and made heart-shaped pancakes before school. In case your wondering this is not our typical breakfast on school mornings...it's pop-tarts and cereal. It was a crazy day at school due to parties and way too much sugar, then off to my grad class. Our professor did let us out early and Cameron & Sydney had a very sweet surprise for me when I got home. They had gotten a few different desserts at the Fresh Market and had flowers and candles on the table. Sydney greeted me at the door and was our waitress. She was so cute!! We had a great time sharing the awesome desserts between the three of us. I hate that Carson had to miss it, but it was past his bedtime.
Syd wasn't really interested in having her picture taken but I managed to get one. She had another basketball game yesterday and did a great job. She scored two points and had a ton of steals. She is really enjoying it and getting better every week. I missed the game today because I was helping with Anna Carol's baby shower and Cam said I couldn't come anymore because she did so well. I think we're down to only 3 more games.
" Mommy's shoe strings are yummy."

Carson @ 10 and a half months
Climbing on everything...we are constantly getting him away from the hearth.
"Let's see, what should I have for dinner?"
"I think I'll just climb on in to get a better look."
Carson loves his Elmo truck that he got for Christmas. He drives it all around the house...we love to watch because he seems like a "real little boy" playing instead of a baby. They grow up so fast!!

Update

Wow! This past week was very busy. Besides work, class, basketball practice, and Awanas, Cam was in Florida all week for work. He flew home Friday night and we're so glad he's back!! Carson started running a low fever Sunday night...of course right after Cam left. Luckily it only lasted a day or two and was just teething. We kept Sydney's friend Landyn Thursday night while her mom was out of town and she ended up staying Friday night as well. Lolli, Pop, and Haydon came up Saturday morning, and Mimi and Bubby came up later in the day. My cousin Kayla's wedding shower was today and we went to the Sangalli's for a Superbowl party tonight. Of course we had a blast doing it all. I don't think I'd know what to do if life wasn't busy. :)
*Thanks for all your help Christa, Ryan, and Ashley!
Enjoy a few cute pictures.

10 Months

Crazy Hair!!
Carson was 10 months old this past Wednesday. He SOOO much fun right now!! (not sure on weight or any of that at the moment) He is crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything. He has also started standing up at doors and cabinets where there is nothing to pull up on. He talks all the time, loves dogs, waves, gives five, and claps. He is back to Mama being his favorite word again, but says bye-bye, Dada, this thee (Sissy), and ba ba. He still loves bathtime...he'll crawl into the bathroom, stand beside the tub, and hollar "BABABABABA". He loves to eat "real" food, nutri-grain bars, potatoes, veggies, hot dogs, fruit, Yo-Baby yogurt, bread. His two top teeth have just broken through and He loves to chew on beef jerky! I can't believe it's just 2 more months until his first birthday. Time flies when you're having fun!!
