3rd grade, really?!

Today was Sydney's first day of 3rd grade. I can't believe she is old enough to be in third grade already. She'll be one of my "big kids" next year. Wow, how time flies. She had a fabulous day, of course. She's a social butterfly and couldn't wait to see all of her friends. It was my first day also and I think it's going to be a great year for both of us!

Two of Everything...

We definitely need two of everything when these boys are together. They do a pretty good job sharing and taking turns, but boys are still boys and want their own toys. The motorcycle and the 4-wheeler weren't cutting it because they always want what the other has. They are too funny!!

Carson's 1st Day of School

Carson started his new preschool today, yea!! We put him on the waiting list just after he was born and finally got in this fall. I think it's going to be a great place for him and I know he'll love it.

We found out last week that Davis, his cousin, got in too. We are so excited that they are going to the same place now. It was a family affair as we dropped them off this morning. Cameron, Sydney, Carson, and I met Ryan, Ashley, and Davis so the boys could go in together. We thought they would be pretty upset since they are so used to being home with us, but we were wrong. They just headed out on the playground like they'd been there for years. We attempted to take a picture of them together by the big crayons out front before going in. Needless to say they weren't really interested and kept looking in different directions.

I guess you see where they get it. HA!! Ash thought it would be funny to take Ryan and Cameron's picture with the crayons, so of course they couldn't look at the camera either.

Last Day of Freedom

Today was our last day of freedom before I start back to work. That being said, I should definitely be in bed rather than up blogging right now. It's so hard to get back on the early to bed schedule. I'm pretty sure the early to rise part of tomorrow morning will make for an earlier to bed night tomorrow night. Sydney stayed in DQ to be spoiled rotten all week, so Carson and I made the best of our day.

We started with a walk and Cocoa Puffs for breakfast. My little cereal lover is a boy after my own heart.
He even loves to drink the milk.

Next, we met Ashley, Davis, Anna Carol, and Mason for some fun at the WonderPlace.

Davo loved the water table.

Carson loved the sand.

What a face?!
Mason was a wild man and usually ran to whatever
room Carson and Davis were not in.
After WonderPlace, Carson and I headed home for a hearty lunch of two hot dogs, chips and grapes. We also took a fabulous nap.
After our nap, we headed to happy hour at Sonic and did some much needed grocery shopping. After work, Cameron and Carson met the rest of the dads and boys for the Travs game. I got to spend the evening with the girls, having some great food and laughs before heading back to the real world tomorrow.
We missed you today, Sissy!!

Pretty Girl

She just gets prettier and prettier everyday. I love that girl!

Weekend Happenings

Happy Birthday, Daddy!!

Cam turned 32 yesterday so we spent the weekend in DQ to celebrate. I know you're thinking, how could spending your birthday in De Queen be much fun? (especially if you live/lived there) It's a blast for Cameron because he gets to fish and eat fabulous Nana/Mimi food. We also went canoeing on the Mt. Fork with Dad and Kaci this trip. We hope you had a very happy birthday Cameron!!

We got to spend some time with friends this weekend too. Lacey, Bradi, and Presli came swimming with us. Lacey and I always love catching up, Sydney and Bradi love being wild and crazy girls, and as for Carson and Presli...Lacey and I are contemplating an arranged marriage.

Donut Addiction

Carson wanted powdered donuts for breakfast this morning, healthy, I know. I put a few on a plate for him and left the bag on the table in case he wanted more. I walked back to my room for 5 seconds and when I came back this is what I found.

I see a donut detox in our near future.

"Hey, over here..."

We went to Branson this past weekend to do some back to school shopping. I can't believe I'm typing that already. It seems like just yesterday we were starting out summer break. I'm definitely not ready to be back at work, but am ready for our normal routine again. Besides shopping, we had dinner at Fall Creek Steak and Catfish House. It's one of those restaurants that throws rolls. Carson loved this! Sydney had been there before so it wasn't quite as cool to her, but she still had fun catching some.

Carson would raise his hand and yell, "Hey Rudy!" every time he saw the roll guy.

His Daddy helped him catch this one on his head.

Sydney caught hers in a more traditional way.

Crazy kiddos!

We also went to the new Bass Pro Shop while we were in Branson. I guess it's really not that new but we haven't been in three years so it was to us. We can't pass a Bass Pro without checking out (and usually buying) a new fishing reel. I'm sure you're aware it's not for me. I spend most of my time there looking at the huge fish tank with the kids and being harassed by Cameron about the boat he wants so terribly bad. The area around there really nice...Branson Landing. We walked around to different shops and listened to a band play for a little while. They had a water/fire show behind them that was pretty neat. All in all, it was a fun, productive trip. Just what I needed before heading back to the real world (aka: work) soon.
