Please don't take my sunshine away!

Today was PERFECT! Praise God for spring-like weather. It was warm and sunny, and we had a great time playing outside this afternoon. I know, I know, don't get used to it because it will probably be 30 something tomorrow. It was great while it lasted though. Ryan, Ashley, and Davis came over to play for a little bit and I just took tons of random pictures of them playing. Enjoy!!
"Hey Davis, watch this." "You're so funny Carson!"
I thought this was too cute. It looks like Carson playing defense on Davis, but he was really just trying to get a hug. Awww, sweet boys.
My precious nephew Davis smiling as usual.
Syd practicing her dribbling.
My little man sitting on his basketball again.
Cam and Sydney played one-on-one, around the world, and horse all afternoon. Notice where Carson is sitting...he just wouldn't move. He had to be right in the middle of everything and needless to say he was popped with a basketball several times.

Sydney's Basketball Game

Sydney had another basketball game today and once again she play great. She was much more aggressive and played great defense. She also scored 8 points again. We're so proud of her. Below are some pictures of her in action and of Carson watching his Sissy play.
Just stole the ball and headed down to score.
Two more points!!
Carson smiling behind his cup because he snuck onto the court...little stinker.
Just watchin' my Sissy play.

*Update*

We had a great last week or two (I forget how long it's been). Sydney's had Strep throat but got over it quickly with some antibiotics. Unfortunately she had to miss her basketball game last weekend. We were out of school Tuesday, very unnecessarily, but really enjoyed just being at home all day. I have mixed feelings because I really don't want to make it up in June. The rest of the week was pretty busy, but we really enjoyed it being a little warmer Friday afternoon. Here are some pics of Syd and Carson playing after school on Friday. They had a great time just getting to be outside.

Sydney got to practice some basketball.
Carson did a little tricycle riding...if that's what you call it.

Happy B-Day MLK!

Yes, Martin Luther King Jr. was a great man who did many wonderful things and deserves a Happy Birthday post, but this one is actually a little more selfish than that. I am always thrilled to celebrate his birthday because it means a day off work with my kiddos. We had a very relaxing day at home just playing around. Here are some pics from our day. Unfortunately it's back to work and school tomorrow, and by school I mean me too. I start back at UCA with my Research Methods class. This is probably the class I've dreaded the most so keep me in your prayers. Only 6 hours to go!!

My Little Hoopster

Sydney's basketball season started this Saturday and she was AWESOME! We were so proud of her. Last year was her first year to play and it amazed me to see how much she improved from beginning to end. I was really excited for this year to begin because first and foremost she loves playing basketball, but also because I love it and enjoy watching her. I am pretty competitive by nature and it seems that Syd has gotten that as well. They don't keep score in Upward, but she does and it's so fun to see how excited she gets. This Saturday she scored eight points and had a crazy number of rebounds, I lost count. She just did so good, and if you haven't noticed I'm a very proud Mommy. Way to go Syd!!

Carson loved watching his Sissy play but really wanted a basketball of his own. He was pretty funny cheering for her. It was like he knew on his own that she had done something good and would start clapping and saying, "Yea!!"Sydney playing some defense
Her first 2 points this year!!!

Wonder Place

Ashley and I took the kids to Wonder Place while we were out for Christmas Break. It's been a while but they had so much fun and I thought I'd post a few pictures.

Christmas 2008

We had a very blessed Christmas this year and enjoyed every minute of it. I'll save you all the travel details and just let you look at some pics. However, I will say that a stomach bug and a little pink eye won't keep us down, right Mom, Kyle, Ryan, Ash, Davis, Kelly, PaPaw and Cam-the lone pink eye victim. Yes, I know that's a lot of sickness, but we were very blessed and still managed to spend lots of time together. We hope you had a wonderful Christmas too!!
Cameron's mom and dad got us an awesome camera for Christmas so hopefully my picture quality will be improving!!
"Davis, you know we'll be getting matching presents for a long time."
