Carson's Sweet Tooth

Sydney and I decided to bake a cake and decorate it this past Thursday. It managed to get her away from watching Hannah Montana for a few minutes. We were finished icing the cake, but my OCD kicked in and I tried to smooth it out more. When I finished working on one side of the cake, I noticed that there were finger prints on the other side. I looked up and Carson had icing on his nose, his Bumbo, and apparently on his fingers. I'm guessing he liked it from the big smile he gave me when he pulled his hand out of his mouth. He may not look like me, but his sweet tooth definitely comes from Mommy!

Cam's Hammock

Sydney and Carson gave Cameron a hammock for Father's Day and he finally got it hung a few days ago. I have a feeling if we want to spend much time with Cam in the near future we'll have to be in his hammock.

What a cute centerpiece!
Sydney and Aunt Ashley...Davis is really growing. Ash you look so cute!
Definitely a "chick magnet" with those dimples!

Last night we had dinner at Ryan and Ashley's to celebrate Ryan's 28th birthday. The food was wonderful and we had a great time. Do Do, Nick, and Aunt Robin were also there and it was great to see them. You too Ry and Ash, but we see you guys often! Hope you have a great birthday tomorrow.

Dinner @ Chuck E. Cheese

Much happier this time around
Maddox, Cameron, and Carson
Sydney and Mattison watching the show
Maddox riding the "Big Tractor, Big Tractor"
Mattison driving with Barney
Wrong way Maddox!
Cameron, the biggest kid there
Mattison in the play scape
Last night we took our niece and nephew, Mattison and Maddox, to Chuck E. Cheese for dinner and some fun. They are in Little Rock visiting while Brandon and Trista are on their honeymoon. They are too funny and we had a great time with them.
Sydney and Mattison watched the show for a little bit, but Maddox did not like the characters at all. He was most interested in riding the "Big Tractor". They all enjoyed the play scape, especially when Sydney finally got Maddox past the first steps so he could slide. As you can see from above he really wanted to climb up the slide rather than go down. Carson did not hate Chuck E. Cheese this time, yea!! We stayed out of the party room and there were not near as many people there. Sydney hit the jackpot on a game several times and won them lots of tickets for prizes. Cameron also had a good time playing games. He is such a big kid!

Brandon & Trista's Wedding

Can we say CHEESE!!
Carson and Pop hanging out before the wedding

Cameron was a groomsmen in his brother Brandon's wedding this past weekend, so we were pretty busy and kept the road hot. We left for Texarkana Friday for the rehearsal and dinner, then headed to Nashville for the night. Saturday Lolli and I had a great time shopping in Texarkana while Sydney kept the boys in line at the house. Carson and Pop did a lot of napping while Sydney picked peas with Uncle Haydon and went fishing with Cam, Uncle Brandon, and Maddox. On Sunday we went back to Texarkana for the wedding. It was very pretty and a lot of fun. Luckily Mom came and was able to take Carson home when a screaming fit began. He had a little tummy ache and was fine by the time we got to De Queen that night. Cameron and PaPaw went fishing on Monday while Syd, Carson and I did some visiting with family. We finally decided we'd had enough fun and headed home that afternoon.
Congratulations Brandon & Trista!!

Happy Birthday PaPaw!

Love the cake Mom!!
PaPaw blowing out his candles
Swinging Carson to sleep
What's so funny?!

Yesterday was PaPaw's 75th birthday so Mom, Nana and PaPaw came to Nashville Saturday to celebrate with us and Cameron's family. We had supper at Fisherman's Cove and the waitresses surprised him with a cake my mom made and sang Happy Birthday. Carson did a lot of laughing at Uncle Brandon and Maddox making faces at him across the table.

On Monday Cameron and PaPaw did a little fishing in the morning, then swung Carson to sleep on the back porch that afternoon. I can't think of a better birthday. We love you PaPaw!!

A Day in Conway

Syd "The Cleaning Lady"
Carson and Aunt Jerri
Carson and Kyle

Today Sydney, Carson and I went to see some friends and family in Conway. We visited their Great-Great Aunt Jerri first and had a wonderful breakfast. She thought Syd had grown a foot in the past two years and loved her haircut, and she had a great time holding and playing with Carson. Sydney got out all of her old toys that she used to play with when we lived next door to her. Next we went to Colton's for lunch with Kristin. It was great to visit since we haven't gotten together in a while.
**Kristin, hopefully we'll be able to get together with you and Mark again soon.
Last but not least, we visited Val and Kyle. Kyle is about 2 months older than Carson and we're planning on them being good buddies growing up.
**Val, he is getting so big and handsome. I can't get over how much he looks like Donnie! It was great to see y'all.

Cutie Patooties

Carson practicing sitting like a big boy.
Syd is such a great big sis!
Carson playing in his exersaucer

Just thought these were some cute pictures for the blog. Sydney is doing such a good job being a big sister. She feeds Carson, plays with him, helps with baths, sings Jesus Loves Me to calm him down, and many other things, but no dirty diapers.

Carson loves to be sitting up or standing in your lap. He has started trying to pull himself up to the sitting position if you lay him back. He is also really enjoying his exersaucer. He has been rolling from tummy to back for a while, but is getting very close to going from back to tummy. He got almost over yesterday, but couldn't quite figure out what to do with the hand he had him his mouth.

Chuck E. Cheese

Sydney and Will dancing to the music of the Chuck E. Cheese Show
Lyla was mesmerized by all the lights, music, and people.
Sydney playing games
Sydney and Ashley H. with all the tickets they won... 381!! Sarah, thanks for holding sleepy head while we got Sydney's prizes.

Today the usual gang had lunch at Chuck E. Cheese. We missed you Ashley A., Laura, and Megan. (hope Megan is feeling better) Sydney and Will had fun dancing while the show was on and playing games to win lots of tickets. Lyla loved looking around at everything that was going on. She looked so big sitting up in her highchair. Carson on the other hand was not fond of the party section at Chuck E. Cheese. He hates loud noise!! The show was playing, the lights were weird, and there were at least 50 kids eating in that area. As long as we were watching Syd play games or changing our diaper in the restroom he was happy as a clam. He finally tuckered out and took a little cat nap before going home.

Ashley H. - Thanks so much for playing games with Sydney. She had a great time with you!!

More Baseball

Kayla and Karen playing with Carson
Uncle Ryan and Carson...Daddy in training!
Ashley and Davis...He sure is growing!
Sydney and CoCo
Sydney and Kaci
Sydney and Jaci lovin' those sunflower seeds
Bubby and Haydon played baseball at ULAR this weekend, and of course we were there to watch their games. Sydney has always spent her summers at a baseball field since she was a baby and it will be no different for Carson. He seems to really enjoy being there. He loves to be outside! Sydney had a blast taking care of CoCo, Kayla's dog, and eating sunflower seeds with Jaci.
After the games on Saturday we had everyone over for dinner. We love it when you guys are all in town, and hopefully y'all will be back soon. We love y'all!!

4th of July

Our little man in his hat.
Carson and Lyla all festive in their red, white, and blue.
Thanks for having us Kerri... you're such a great hostess.
If only Will knew how to turn the hose on, Sydney would be toast!
Cameron and Sydney lighting some sparklers.

This 4th of July was great! We did a whole lot of nothing all day and then went to Kerri and Shane's for a fish fry. There was a ton of wonderful food and it was great getting to visit with everyone, especially you Anna Carol ;)! Sydney and Will had fun playing in the water and wearing out Kerri's mom, and I'm thrilled to report that unlike our last cookout with friends, Carson was perfect! He loves his hat and looks so cute wearing it. We decided to head home when Syd's mosquito bites were driving her crazy and Carson was starting to get sleepy. After taking care of the bites and getting Carson to bed, Syd and Cam did sparklers in backyard.
