Christmas with Boppy and Dawny Bear

Boppy, Dawny Bear, Kyle, and Kaci came to LR today to visit and have Christmas with us. We had a great time getting to seeing everyone and just having a relaxing day together. We're so glad you guys came and we love you bunches!! Thanks for the perfect gifts. We missed you Ash and Davis...hope Day Day is feeling better. FYI, Sydney did most of the picture taking so I had to post lots of pics for her.

Gingerbread House

We decided to make a gingerbread house last night and had so much fun making it together. Sydney was good about telling Carson where to put things and he actually followed exactly what she said. Yes, we took the easy way out and bought a kit but it still turned out pretty cute.

UALR Mascot

If you're wondering why I am putting a picture of the UALR mascot and some random cheerleader on my blog you should read the post before this one. This was the only picture I could find of their mascot online and I didn't take one myself today.
Come on, wouldn't this scare you if you were a little kid?!

UALR Basketball Game

Today was Miss Sydney's big cheer performance at the UALR basketball game. They looked absolutely precious and their routine was perfect. Below are several pictures from the day and I'm working on getting a video of them on here. It might take me a few days but I'll figure it out.

Syd is all dolled up and ready to perform.

Above and below are during their performance.

Sydney and Micah (her cheer coach)

If you'd ever seen UALR's mascot you wouldn't be asking why Carson has such a terrified look on his face. They're the Trojans and he could quite honestly be the scariest mascot I've seen. Carson was definitely not a fan!

Sydney and her Mommy

In keeping with anything that Sydney does, she had quite the fan club. Boppy, Dawny Bear, Lolli, Pop, Uncle Ryan, Aunt Ashley, Davis, and of course Carson, Cameron, and I were all there to cheer her on. Below are some pics of a few of her #1 fans.

Uncle Ryan, Syd, Aunt Ashley, and Davis

Boppy, Carson, and Syd
Syd also got to do some more singing in church this morning. Our adult choir did their Christmas Musical and the children's choir got to sing two songs with them. The whole thing was just beautiful...our church has been blessed with some amazingly talented singers. It really reminded me of the reason for the season. How lucky are we to have Jesus' birthday to celebrate! I hope everyone is having a great holiday season so far and I hope you all have a great week!

Syd's Big Weekend

Sydney had a very busy, yet exciting weekend. Her birthday is actually this weekend but we celebrated early. We kept going back and forth when deciding what to do as far as a party and stopped on the fact that she had too much going on for a big party. No, this was not my decision! I was trying to work it all in somehow when Sydney finally said, "Mom, I just have too much to do." We decided to have her friend Landyn come home with us from school to spend the night. Syd had a dress rehearsal cheer practice Friday after school and then we headed to Larry's Pizza. The pizza was great as usual and the girls had a blast playing in the game room. Next, we headed home to wait on Cameron to get in from FL. The girls drank hot chocolate and pretty much just danced the night away. The next morning was cooked a big breakfast and introduced Landyn to chocolate gravy and biscuits, our favorite. After breakfast and showers Sydney, Landyn, and I met Mimi at the pottery place to do some painting. They both did an awesome job painting the fairies they chose. Syd had to be at the church for her Christmas musical dress rehearsal by 12:00 so we hurried over as soon as they finished painting. Their rehearsal was finally over around 2:30. Sydney took a much needed nap before blowing out the candles on her birthday cake. She has the best Mimi in the world...and did I mention a wonderful cake decorator. Below is a picture of Syd's made to order cake. She requested a green flower, a basketball, pom poms, and a purple heart and that's exactly what she got.

After church on Sunday we went to Barnes and Noble for Fulbright's book fair. The cheerleaders performed and did an amazing job. Micah, their coach, is unbelievable with those girls. They are getting ready for an even bigger performance this weekend at the UALR basketball game. Sydney is a flyer so cross your fingers that there are no falls. Below is a picture of Syd in her uniform and one right before their performance.

Last but definitely not least, our church Christmas musical was Sunday night. They have been practicing for weeks and did everything perfectly. This is the only picture I was able to get because I was busy video taping. Sydney loves Mrs. Nancy and the other leaders and being in the choir.
You must be tired after reading all that so you can imagine how wiped out Syd was come bedtime Sunday night. We're so proud of our little star.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND WE LOVE YOU SYDNEY!!!!

Thanksgiving 2008

Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of our Thanksgiving festivities this year but we had a wonderful time. Much of our holiday was spent driving as usual but it was great to see everyone. We went to Lolli and Pop's (Cam's parents) house Wednesday night. Cameron's little brother Haydon, his girlfriend Bree, and Bree's sister were there too. Bree and her sister are from California and are going home for Christmas soon so they spent Thanksgiving in Nashville. We had lunch at Cameron's granny's house, then headed to DQ for dinner with my mom and grandparents. We headed home early Friday so we could spend some time relaxing at our house and putting up our Christmas decorations. Cam leaves for Florida Monday morning to work for the week and I guess it's back to school and a busy 3 weeks for me. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!

My beautiful baby girl is almost 8!

Sydney Brooke

Syd's 8th birthday is December 12th and I absolutely can't believe it. It seems like she was Carson's age just yesterday. She is just so beautiful and getting very tall. I took some pictures of her while Carson was playing in the yard the other day and thought this one was pretty cute. She is loving cheerleading at school and looks precious doing the dance they're learning. She will be performing at a UALR basketball game soon and she's so excited. She also has a part in our church Christmas musical next Sunday. I'm so proud of how well she is doing in school and what an awesome sister she is to Carson. We are so blessed to have such a sweet girl!!

Carson - 20 Months

I can't believe it but Carson is now 20 months old. We saw Dr. O'Neill about a month ago for his 18 month check up. We were a little late due to some ear infections. The doctor said he was perfect and still average height and weight for his age. He weighed 25 lbs 12 oz and was 32 inches tall. He runs everywhere and climbs on anything in sight. Definitely a rough and rowdy, ball and truck lovin' boy, but I wouldn't have it any other way. He has turned into a little parrot, saying everything we do. I can't even begin to list all the words he's saying. I've decided all the time he took learning to walk he was just soaking up everything we said. I think my favorite thing he says is I wub ooh (I love you). He is such a sweet boy and we're so blessed to have him.

Halloween after Thanksgiving, What?!

Carson showing us his "cheese face" during a group picture - Where's Megan?

Don't worry, I didn't get my holidays mixed up, I'm just very terribly late and past due for a post. Here are some Halloween pictures of Carson as a Razorback baseball player. He looked so cute and loved playing with his ball and glove. He got to trick or treat at school, go to Trunk 'r Treat at our church, and play with all the kiddos at Anna Carol and Jarrod's Halloween party. We had a great time AC! I don't have any pictures of Syd because she went to Conway to trick or treat with Gracie and wasn't dressed when she left. She was a cheerleader, I bet you could have guessed, and I'll have a picture of her soon in her real Fulbright cheer uniform. She performs for the first time next weekend.

Just Playin'

Sydney cheesin' for the camera
Carson playing on his workbench in his guard jammies
It's just me and the kiddos tonight, Cam's in Dallas for work, so I did some picture taking. I had to get one of Carson in his guard jammies. We bought them while we were in London. We decided not to get the fuzzy black hat but the jammies were too cute.

Twins or Mini Me?

Wednesday was twin day at school for Red Ribbon Week. Sydney and her friend Madison dressed alike. Yes, Sydney is bigger than Madison, but not like this picture suggests. Cam and I had to laugh because he is always picking at her because of how tall she is and her big feet. They looked adorable!

Ruffles Anyone?

Carson loves to bring me things out of the pantry to eat. I guess he knew I wouldn't go for this one. I turned around from whatever I was doing and this is what I saw. No asking, just eating.

Kaci's Homecoming

We went to De Queen this past weekend to watch my sister Kaci in Homecoming. Sydney went down Thursday night with Uncle Ryan since she was out of school Friday. She got to do all the fun girly stuff on Friday with Kaci and Dawny Bear. She also got to ride with my dad as he drove Kaci in the parade. Sydney sat in the front of the truck, but not without her own crown, and waived at everyone along the way. Dawn got some really cute pics of her during the day that I'm hoping to get soon. As for Kaci, she looked beautiful...definitely the prettiest one there!

I also got to hang out with some good friend and their kiddos. Jamie, Lacey, and I had a great time catching up. We aren't able to get together very often since we're spread out across the state. I miss you guys!

Sydney and Bradi had a great time of course. They are getting way too big!

I managed to get a decent picture of all the kids together.

Sydney, Bradi, Presli, Carson, Parker, and Davis.

Carson tried pulling Parker in the wagon, but it wasn't as easy as it looked.

I think he decided it would be much more fun in the wagon.

Still waiting on someone to pull me!

It was also great to see our family this weekend. Cam got to do some fishing with PaPaw, which he always loves. Nana cooked my favorite dinner, chicken and dumplings. We all got to go out and eat for my dad's birthday. I even got to spend some time with my crazy older brother. Yes, we only live about a mile and a half from each other in LR, but it takes going home to visit to really get to hang out. We shouldn't be so busy!

Playing Outside

We've been playing outside every afternoon here lately and I though I'd try and get some pictures today. The weather has been great and Carson is an outside kid. Syd usually goes in and out, depends on her mood. Sometimes she's pretty tired after school. Carson, on the other hand could live outside. He brings us shoes then goes and knocks on the door. He pitches a mega fit when it's time to come back in. If you check our blog often then you've seen pictures of him pushing his play lawn mower around. Well he's decided it's time to upgrade.
When Cameron finished mowing this afternoon, Carson drug the mower out of the garage and pushed it around the cul-de-sac. I'm hoping you know it's not running, but just in case IT'S NOT! He pushed it in circles for about half an hour tonight.
While Carson was busy "mowing", Sydney was practicing her cheers for me. She's such a good little cheerleader.

Pumpkin Patch

We met Ryan, Ashley, and Davis (AKA: Day Day) at the pumpkin patch in Mayflower this morning and had a great time. I was a little warm, but I guess that's typical AR weather. The kids enjoyed taking a hayride to pick out pumpkins and I'm sure Cameron enjoyed hauling around the HUGE ones Sydney had to have. Enjoy the pictures!

This was as good as it got when all three were involved.
