Syd's Big Weekend

Sydney had a very busy, yet exciting weekend. Her birthday is actually this weekend but we celebrated early. We kept going back and forth when deciding what to do as far as a party and stopped on the fact that she had too much going on for a big party. No, this was not my decision! I was trying to work it all in somehow when Sydney finally said, "Mom, I just have too much to do." We decided to have her friend Landyn come home with us from school to spend the night. Syd had a dress rehearsal cheer practice Friday after school and then we headed to Larry's Pizza. The pizza was great as usual and the girls had a blast playing in the game room. Next, we headed home to wait on Cameron to get in from FL. The girls drank hot chocolate and pretty much just danced the night away. The next morning was cooked a big breakfast and introduced Landyn to chocolate gravy and biscuits, our favorite. After breakfast and showers Sydney, Landyn, and I met Mimi at the pottery place to do some painting. They both did an awesome job painting the fairies they chose. Syd had to be at the church for her Christmas musical dress rehearsal by 12:00 so we hurried over as soon as they finished painting. Their rehearsal was finally over around 2:30. Sydney took a much needed nap before blowing out the candles on her birthday cake. She has the best Mimi in the world...and did I mention a wonderful cake decorator. Below is a picture of Syd's made to order cake. She requested a green flower, a basketball, pom poms, and a purple heart and that's exactly what she got.

After church on Sunday we went to Barnes and Noble for Fulbright's book fair. The cheerleaders performed and did an amazing job. Micah, their coach, is unbelievable with those girls. They are getting ready for an even bigger performance this weekend at the UALR basketball game. Sydney is a flyer so cross your fingers that there are no falls. Below is a picture of Syd in her uniform and one right before their performance.

Last but definitely not least, our church Christmas musical was Sunday night. They have been practicing for weeks and did everything perfectly. This is the only picture I was able to get because I was busy video taping. Sydney loves Mrs. Nancy and the other leaders and being in the choir.
You must be tired after reading all that so you can imagine how wiped out Syd was come bedtime Sunday night. We're so proud of our little star.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND WE LOVE YOU SYDNEY!!!!
