37 Week Dr.'s Appt.

Well, I had my last doctor's appointment with Dr. Breniman yesterday and everything looked good. Carson's heartbeat was in the 140's, my blood pressure was good, and I lost 2 pounds. I am now dilated to 3 cm and 80% effaced, so I guess he could decide to come anytime. I've definitely been having contractions, but they never get any closer together than 10 minutes or so. They seem to start happening a little after noon and go until around 10:00 pm. Hopefully they will become more consistent and we'll have Carson, or they'll stop altogether until next Wednesday. They aren't very comfortable! We have scheduled to induce next Wednesday, April 4th, at 6:00 am. Dr. Breniman says that Carson should be here by noon. We can't wait!! Oh yeah, this is just my weirdness, but it's pretty interesting...If he does wait until the 4th then my kid's birthdays will be 12-12 and 4-4. I think that's kind of neat. 36 Week Dr.'s Appt.

I went to see Dr. Breniman again yesterday and looks as though everything is still the same. I was kind of hoping for a little more progress, but I guess he'll come when the time is right. Everything looked good with his heartbeat and my blood pressure, I even lost a pound. I'm beginning to feel enormous and a little run down. Luckily I only have 2 more days of work and then I'll be able to get some rest. Carson's room is ready and my bag is packed, so now it's just the waiting game. I feel like I'll probably be waiting until he induces on the 4th or 5th of April.

I did have an ultrasound last Friday in Conway and Carson measured to weigh 6 1/2 pounds. He was head down and everything looked good. I even saw some hair on his head!! I know that when they predict weight from ultrasounds they can be off a pound either way, so I'm hoping they weren't under estimating. If the measurements are right, he gains the average 1/2 a pound a week, and I go until April then that should put him at about 8lbs. We'll see!!

35 Week Dr.'s Appt.

I went to see Dr. Breniman yesterday and had my first of many pelvic exams. (what a blast) I am dilated to 2 cm and 50% effaced. My blood pressure and Carson's heartbeat were good. A little extra weight gain for mom though, yikes and still measuring about a week big. If he doesn't decide to come on his own by April 4th or 5th then Dr. Breniman is going to induce. It is so nice to actually see the end in sight. We can't wait!! Next week will be my last week of work, due to Spring Break and resting up for Carson. I have another appointment next Tuesday and I'll keep you all posted.

35 Week Belly Shot

Here is another belly picture. I'm about 35 weeks and I go back to see Dr. Breniman on Tuesday. He will start examing me every week from here on out. Hopefully I'll know a little more about when we can expect Carson to arrive after this visit. I don't see how my belly can get much bigger without popping. We'll see!!

31 Weeks Dr. Visit

I went for my 31 week appointment with Dr. Breniman on Tuesday. Everything looked good as far as I'm concerned (weight, blood pressure, etc...) and Carson's heartbeat was in the 130's. It was a quick visit and I'm due back in 2 weeks. I did measure a little big again, about a week. We are really hoping for Carson to come during Spring Break!

Molly's Ever Expanding Baby Belly

This is the latest picture of my ever expanding baby belly. This was taken February 5th, 30 weeks. Carson is really growing! I have my first 2 week visit this coming Tuesday. The last visit was a quick one and everything looked good. Hopefully this weeks will go just as well.

Carson's First Photo Shoot

Sydney, Mimi, Nana, and Aunt Ashley went with us for a 4D ultrasound to take a peek at Carson on January 24th. HE IS ADORABLE! It was the most awesome thing I've ever seen and he gave us an Oscar winning performance. Syd said that she counted all "8" fingers, but we double checked and there are 10. Shea, the ultrasound tech, was wonderful and told us a lot about him from what she saw. He seems to be a healthy and possibly hefty little guy. At 28 weeks the average baby weighs between 2 and 2.5lbs. Carson's measurements had him weighing about 3lbs. and 4oz. Cam's left handed pitcher might be more suited for linebacking. He loves to stretch and keeps his hands by his face most of the time. Hope you enjoy the pics. Check out his cute little smile in the bottom picture!
