Well, Hello...

I thought I'd do a little updating since I haven't blogged in the past week. Last weekend was quite eventful, Mom and Nana were here keeping Davis. Ryan and Ashley have been in Florida this week so mom took her turn at baby-sitting. They spent a lot of time at our house visiting and letting Davis play with Carson. Cameron gave the boys their bath before they left to put Davis to bed Friday night. I thought this picture was too cute...the cutest booties in town!!
Sydney has been in De Queen this week visiting all of our family...and being spoiled rotten no doubt. She is going to her second Vacation Bible School for the summer. She went to one at our church last week and is going to First Baptist in DQ this week. She has also been going to Bubby's baseball games and eating Sno-Funs. This afternoon Boppy and Dawny Bear took her and her friends, Bradi, Ashley, and Abby swimming. Needless to say she's having a blast!
Carson is just hanging out at home with Cameron and I. My cousin Kayla was here several days this week so he did have an extra person to play with. Lolli also visited us Monday night while she was in town for meetings. He has gotten to be quite the little monkey, climbing on everything. I caught a picture of him right after he climbed onto the ottoman and stood up. Don't worry, his daddy is standing close by.

He has recently become fascinated with the Eric Carle book Brown Bear, Brown Bear. He walks around saying, "Bown Bear, Bown Bear" and hands you his book. We read it no less than ten times a day! He is also into tickling your tummy. He lifts your shirt and says, "Ticka, Ticka, Ticka, Ticka." It sounds a lot like something Dr. Evil says in one of the Austin Powers movies. Below is a picture of him just being silly.

As for the rest of us, I'm about to finish my first 6 grad hours of the summer. My last day is July 2nd and I can't wait. I'm taking one other class for a week in July but other than that I'm FREE!! After this summer I'll only have 9 hours left, thank goodness the end is in sight. Cam has just been working a lot and watching the College Baseball World Series. Pretty simple around here. We're leaving for Florida July 5th and we're all counting down the days. Check back for lots of cute beach pictures of the kiddos.

Playing Outside

The past few afternoons we've been playing outside and the weather was so nice today. Sydney loves drawing with sidewalk chalk in the cul-de-sac. Carson likes to push his car and lawn mower and be pushed in his car as well. I'm really enjoying the time off with them and can't wait to be off completely in July!! Enjoy the pictures.

Yesterday afternoon we went to Wild River Country and had a blast. The weather was a lot cooler than it has been and it was just a little cloudy. Our baby-sitter, Alayne, went with us so she and Syd could go and do while I tended to Carson. She is keeping the kids for a few hours a day while I'm in school during June. They love her and it's going great! Carson really enjoyed being in the water and splashing, and Sydney loved everything about it. I think she would live in the water if she could.

14 Months

Carson is now a little over 14 months and is growing like a weed. As you can see from the picture above we have to keep an eye on him at all times because he's into everything. He is finally walking everywhere and talks all the time. We aren't sure what he says most of the time, sounds like Chinese to us, but sometimes you know it's serious thanks to his facial expressions. Some words you can understand are: baw-baw(ball), Sissy, Momma, DaDa, WoWa(Lola), NiNi(night-night), Bye-Bye, and Nana. He is great at telling you want he doesn't want to eat. He'll shake his head no at whatever you offer until you get what he wants. Luckily he isn't very picky when it comes to food. He is still a great sleeper. He is starting to take one long nap rather than two naps and sleeps until 7:30 or so on the weekends. We actually slept until 9 today. He still loves bath time and starts pulling at his clothes as soon as you start the water. He also LOVES that sweet Sissy of his. Everything she does is just hilarious to him and she is so helpful. We extremely blessed to have two wonderful children. I'll have weight, height, and all that good stuff after our well-child visit next month.

Friday was finally our last day of school!! Well, actually Syd got out on Thursday, but the teachers had to work half a day on Friday. **Thank you so much for keeping Sydney Lauren!!** On Saturday we went to our friend Kerri's 30th birthday party. The kids had a great time playing in the water, so I wanted to share some cute pictures. Happy Birthday Kerri!
