Carson's New Car

We got Carson a pushable car for his birthday and he loves it. Sydney seems to love pushing him around in it. Carson crashed after his party, as you can see from above. When he woke up we took a walk and Syd pushed him in his new car. It turned out to be a nice afternoon and we had a great time!!

The Babies...Minus a Few

I wanted to post this cute picture of the babies. Erin and Mary Elizabeth, Ashley and Davis, Anna Carol and Mason, Molly and Carson.
MIA - Sarah and Lyla (relocated to OKC), Laura and Megan (having some cake), Kerri and Will (chasing Will) oh, and soon to be baby Carter.
*Can't wait to see you this weekend Sarah...and have some time out with the girls!!*

Carson's First Birthday

Yesterday was Carson's first birthday!! I can't believe it has already been a year. Although the weather was kind of awful, we still had a great birthday party. We decided to have the party outside since the past few weekends had been beautiful so we rented a pavilion at Pinnacle. Unfortunately this weekend decided to be different...cool and rainy. Not that I didn't already know, but his party really showed me what wonderful friends and family we have. Thank you to everyone that came for sticking it out with us, especially the DQ, Nashville, and Conway guys for driving in the rain to get there. We are very lucky to have you all in our lives...Carson told me he was so glad you all came to celebrate his first birthday. ;)
I have a very talented mom and some very creative friends as well. My mom made Carson's birthday cake and it was awesome. Thanks Mom!

My friend Kerri made this yard sign for Carson. I'm so excited about having this to put out every year.
My friend Laura made Carson a personalized stool. It matches his room perfectly!

Carson wasn't too crazy about opening presents, but got excited now and then. Sydney and Will really enjoyed helping him. He got lots of cute clothes and fun toys. He has had a blast playing with everything the past two days.

Carson really enjoyed his cake. He really didn't know what to do with it at first, but it didn't take him long to figure it out.

Wye Mountain

Yesterday was beautiful so we decided to drive out to Wye Mountain when Cameron got off work and take some pictures of Carson. I wish Sydney would have been here to be in the pictures, but I'm sure she was having much more fun in DQ with Mimi and Bradi. Once again, I couldn't decided on what to post so I made a slide show. Enjoy!!

Two Days in DQ

Mimi and Carson
Sydney, Carson, Jessa
We were in De Queen Sunday night through Tuesday afternoon to visit. Cameron took a couple days off so he could go fishing with Pa Paw. My friend Jessica came over to visit and see the kiddos. I also got to visit with my friend Lacey and the rest of my family. Sydney ended up staying so she could spend the night with Bradi, Lacey's daughter. They had a great time together as usual. She will be coming to LR with her Mimi tomorrow. We miss you Syd!! I thought these pictures were cute and wanted to share.

Easter 2008

The Easter Bunny left goodies for Sydney and Carson.

The Easter Bunny left lots of goodies for Sydney and Carson this year. After checking those out we headed to church for the early service and worked in the nursery for the last service. We had lunch at Aunt Becky's house (Ashley's Aunt Becky). The food was great and we had a great time visiting. *Thanks for having us over Becky* Carson spent most of the afternoon watching the dogs through the back door. He LOVES dogs! Davis kept us entertained with his crawling. He's just about got it. Once he takes off, he'll keep you running Ryan and Ash. We than headed to DQ for a couple of days. Of course the Easter Bunny visits Mimi's house too. We had to hunt eggs in the dark thanks to me...we got to Benton and I realized I had forgotten pretty much everything, so we headed back to LR to get it. They had fun anyway. It was more of a challenge for Syd to hunt eggs with a spotlight.

We are so thankful for the real meaning of Easter and all that Jesus has done for us. Although we've always talked to Sydney about what Easter is really about I think she is at the age that it's all beginning to click. I'm so proud that she enjoys being involved in activities at our church and is becoming very knowledge able about Gods word. Sometimes our conversations with her amaze me. She's a very smart girl and is working towards a BIG decision in her life! YEA!!

The beautiful bride

My cousin Kayla got married at Garvin Gardens this past weekend. The wedding was beautiful and I was honored to be a bridesmaid. It was so much fun being with all our family, and of course we took lots of pictures. It was very hard to choose which ones to post. I wanted a good picture of the four of us, but Sydney was too busy running around with the other kids and I could never get her to stick around long enough. We stayed in Hot Springs after the rehearsal Friday and Carson did not sleep well in the hotel. Translation, neither did the rest of us. We didn't even make it to the parking lot before Carson was asleep in his stroller and Sydney was not far behind. They were troopers!!
John and Kayla, The wedding was wonderful and we are so happy for you guys. Welcome to the family John. :)

Visiting Friends

Sydney and Emma
Carson and Hannah
We were in Hot Springs last Friday for Kayla's rehearsal and had the chance to visit my friend Boni and her girls, Emma and Hannah. Oh, and you too Travis. They were in town for Easter with her parents who live in Hot Springs now. It was great to visit with Brooks and Susan also. Sydney and Emma had a great time together. Emma was just the right size for Syd to carry around and they both enjoyed that. Carson and Hannah weren't really impressed with each other...it was past their bedtime. I did manage to get a couple of cute pictures.
Boni, It was great to see you guys!! The girls are beautiful.

My Dear Sydney

Last Friday we went to the Upward Basketball Awards Ceremony. It was at Agape Church and man am I glad I don't climb the MOUNTAIN that takes you to their sanctuary every Sunday. That happens to be the reason I don't have pictures from the actual ceremony. I left my camera in the car and I can only climb Pinnacle once a day. They had a great guest speaker and Syd had a blast. I had to post this picture so she could show off her first trophy and her new Upward basketball.
I also need to publicly apologize to my wonderful mother for every dress shopping experience she had with me as I was growing up. Sydney and I shopped for a dress for Kayla's wedding and for Easter last Saturday...OH MY GOSH! I had no idea a seven year old could be so particular. I'm sure my mom and dad are reading this and saying, "I can!" Anytime I tell them about something Sydney has done or said they say she acts just like I did. To make things worse, the cashier at Dillard's asked if Sydney was my sister. I know I'm young and look even younger (especially since I had on no make-up), but people should really store that question away with, "When's the baby due?" Although we managed to settle on two really cute dresses, Sydney felt the need to add the following comment as we left the mall..."There are a lot of girls shopping with their moms, and I bet they're buying the dresses THEY pick out." Prom dress shopping in ten years will probably require medication. ;) I love you dearly Syd!!

Sick Again

Well, we're sick again at the Arnold house...this time it's the little Carsy-man. He started running fever this past Sunday and just didn't seem to feel very well. I stayed home and took him to the doctor on Monday. The diagnosis was a double ear infection. Yes, that's right...both ears. We started his antibiotic and he didn't run any more fever. I took him to daycare and went back to work on Tuesday, but was called to come get him at 2:30 because he had started running fever again. This time his fever hung around and was a bit higher (102-103). He was very cranky and didn't sleep well. I stayed home with him again Wednesday and the poor little guy just felt awful. Dr. O'Neill had told me to give him a call if Carson was still running fever on Wednesday, so I did and he called us in a stronger prescription. We started it tonight and hopefully it will get the job done. Carson's wonderful Lolli is coming up to stay with him tomorrow because Daddy has a lot going on at work and Mommy is running low on sick days. Thanks a ton Lolli!!

On a good note, Carson hasn't had a bottle since last Friday. We've officially kicked the habit. We have also started whole milk. I talked to Dr. O'Neill about it at the ear visit and he said it would be fine to start. He is loving real milk...what a big boy!!

Snow Day

Yes, I know it has been 70 degrees for the past two days and I'm posting snow pictures. Just a little behind. School was canceled last Friday due to snow. YEA!! (I guess I'll be working on June 6th now). We enjoyed our day off and getting to go out in the snow a little. We didn't stay out long...no gloves. Can you believe we weren't prepared with all snow we get in AR? The snow really didn't get very thick until early afternoon. Sydney also went to a "swimming" birthday party last Friday. Don't worry, it was an indoor pool. She got to spend the night at the Embassy Suites with 7 or 8 little girls and had a blast. The bad new is her last basketball game was canceled and won't be made up. She had a great time playing and can't wait until next season.

A Beautiful Day in the Rock

This past Saturday was such a beautiful day...and we had plenty to do. Sydney had a basketball game that morning. She was awesome (as usual) and scored 6 points. We went straight from the game to the Capital for the Little Rockers Marathon. There were over 100 kids from Fulbright running and they all wore their school shirts. It was really cool for them to all be together, but made it difficult to find your child. Uncle Ryan and Aunt Ashley waited by the hospital to get some pictures of Sydney. They saw lots of blue shirts but never Syd...she probably took a short cut. ;) We appreciate you guys coming to watch and are sorry you missed her. She had a great time and ran really well. Carson also loved being outside, especially with so much going on.
