I finally had a little time to sort through the 700 pictures we took on our trip and get some posted. The one above is one of my favorites and there are several others showing some of the sites we saw in the slide shows below. It was really difficult to decide which ones to post so I may add some more later. We had a great time and survived the jet lag. We got to see most of the things we wanted to in Paris, the
Eiffel Tower, Arc
de Triomphe, the Louvre,
Notre Dame, the
Rodan Museum, the Obelisk,
Luxembourg Garden, and many other things. The only thing we missed and wanted to see was Napoleon's tomb, it was closed on Sunday. In London we toured Buckingham Palace, the Royal Mews (stables), the Tower of London (saw the Crown Jewels), Westminster Abbey, Hyde Park, and shopped at
Harrod's. There were a lot of places in London that wouldn't let you take pictures inside, like Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey. We couldn't take pictures of the Crown Jewels either. You can't even stop and look at them, instead you ride by on a conveyor belt. Cameron's favorite was
Westminster Abbey but we probably like Paris better overall. We rode lots of planes, trains, and subways and were so glad to be home to our kids, cars, and bed. Oh and, our regular old dollar too. The exchange rate in Paris was about 1.40 and was almost double in London.
On the kids note, Sydney was thrilled to see us but Carson not so much. He was MAD at me and let me know it. He honestly treated me like a grown person would, he ignored me for a whole night. I guess he got his point across and I won't be leaving him any time soon!
Thanks again to everyone that helped with the kids while we were gone. We love you guys!
