My Little Carsy-man

Carson is 6 months old today!!
Sleepy, sleepy boy

Just wanted to share these cute pictures of my little Carsy-man. He is 6 months old today! We have his check-up and shots this Friday. I'll give a complete update then. Pray that he does well with the shots. He hasn't had allergic reactions with the others (thanks goodness), but has always ran a day or two of fever and not felt very well.

Busy, Busy Weekend

Friday night we went to watch Bubby's football game at Pulaski Oak Grove. The Leopards won and Kyle was the Sonic player of the game and the offensive player of the game. We are really excited about him playing 3 football games in Little Rock this year. As you can see, Carson was all tuckered out after being passed around throughout the game. He loved watching the cheerleaders and the band. Sydney was such a good big sister and helper...she gave Carson his bottle on the way to the game and on the way home. She also covered him up with her sweater so he wouldn't be cold.

Saturday we went to Ella Hardage's 1st birthday party. Sydney had a good time going on the hayride, swinging, and eating cake. Carson just enjoyed being outside and looking at all the kids running around. He did manage to get his hands on Sydney's cup of Dr. Pepper, but Dad caught him, and he tried to eat the cellophane bag to get to Sissy's candy. He is like an octopus, and wants to put everything in his mouth.
Matt holding Ella as she got a little messy with her birthday cake.
Saturday night Uncle Chuck, Aunt Karen, Kayla, and Kirby came over to watch the J.T. fight. We hated the outcome of the fight, but enjoyed getting to visit with them.
Kyle stayed with us this weekend after his game...Mom stayed at Ryan's to help out with baby Davis. He loved playing with Carson as long as he wasn't spitting up on him, and Sydney always loves having her Bubby around. Can't wait to see you guys again next weekend!

Davis Ryan Atkins

Ready for his first Razorback game
What a face?!

Look at those mile long fingers
Proud Papa...hasn't stopped smiling! :)

Our new nephew (and cousin to Syd and Carson), Davis Ryan Atkins, was born September 21st at 12:02 a.m. He weighed 7lb. 1oz. and was 20 1/2 in. long. He is precious...long and skinny, with long fingers and feet. His first pair of booties actually fit! They are all doing great and can't wait to get home. He and Carson will be running around bugging Sydney in no time. :)

Carson Update

What's so funny?!

Carson is getting so big! He'll be 6 months old soon and I wanted to give a little update. He is doing great at daycare. They seem to really like him and vice versa. They tell me all the time what a good baby he is...he naps wells, entertains himself, talks constantly. He makes every noise under the sun and smiles all the time. He finds everything Sydney does absolutely hilarious! He can roll over both ways, sit up by himself for a short time, and grab toys (and my hair). He loves baby food, except for the green veggies, likes to look at himself in the mirror, sleeps all night , and wakes up chattin' away. We are enjoying him so much and we can't wait for his buddy Davis to arrive. He should be here any time now!

Sydney Update

Syd just being a cutie
Sydney's award from Cheer Camp last weekend

This past week has been very exciting for Sydney. Nana stayed with us for a couple of days while Cameron was in Florida for work, and she loved that. Nana you were such a big help watching Sydney and Carson during my class on Thursday. I also appreciated all the laundry you did for me. :)

We went to DQ Friday in time to watch Bubby's football game. Sydney got to play with Bradi and Jacie at the game, and although they didn't win, Bubby played great and was the offensive player the game. Saturday morning Lacey and I took the girls to Cheer Camp. They had so much fun and got to perform what they learn for everyone. Sydney won the All-Star Cheerleader award for her grade. We were so proud of her. We got out of LR without my cameras, so Lacey took pictures and Mimi video taped. Hopefully I'll get copies of both of those soon. After camp Sydney went to visit Keggey and PawPaw. Monday was Lolli's birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOLLI!) so they came over to visit. We had supper and watched the very disappointing Razorback game. Hopefully this weeks game will turn out better.

Lacey and I had been planning on getting tickets to the Hannah Montana concert in December. She will be in town on the 1st, so we wanted to do this for the girls birthdays. Lacey, Cameron, and I were all on different computers well before 10:00 Saturday waiting for tickets to go on sale. We starting trying for them as soon as the sale began. Lacey and I were on the phone getting so upset because we couldn't get any tickets, when Cam called and saved the day. He was able to get us four tickets. We told the girls when we picked them up from camp and they were SOOOO excited. They think Hannah Montana is the greatest thing on earth, and if you have watched any news lately, so does every other kid in Arkansas. We're already counting the days till 12-1.

5 Months

Carson was 5 months old yesterday and he is getting so big. I can't believe that 5 months has already passed. He is doing very well with daycare since I've gone back to work. He smiles and laughs a lot and is very content. He is sleeping through the night and taking good naps. He has mastered eating with a spoon and loves sweet potatoes. He thinks Sydney is hilarious. He smiles when she simply walks into the room. He has rolled over from tummy to back and back to tummy. He is working on sitting up by himself. He always pulls up when you lay him back and can sit alone for a few seconds. I am not sure of his weight or length since we don't have a check up this month. He had his first "sickness" last week. Well, I don't really know if you can call it sickness, but a cold with a runny nose and low fever. This was a result of getting used to daycare I'm sure. He is at such a fun age and we are enjoying every minute of it.
