World's Worst Blogger

It's back to school and blogging goes on the back burner again. I promise I'm not an awful mom, and I do have a picture of Sydney from her first day of second grade. I made Cameron promise to take one before they left for school...I was already gone since I always get there early on the first day. My camera battery was almost dead so I'm glad he was able to get one, but now I can't get it to my computer to post. I seem to have left my battery charger in DQ and will have to wait until I get it back this weekend. Syd is loving second grade, of course. Her teacher, Mrs. Penn had surgery the second day of school so she has a sub for the next week. Thank goodness she likes the sub and I think the feeling is mutual.

Carson is getting some new teeth, bottom molars, and man has he been cranky. Poor fella, I know it must hurt pretty bad. Thankfully, I think the worst of it is over for now. As for his school report, it's not as good as his big sister. He is now hitting and pinching at school. Apparently several of them started hitting after the teacher they've had for the past year left to start nursing school. The bad part is Carson has picked out one child to hit and pinch. We're not sure what his beef is with this kid, but it must be pretty bad. ; ) He has recently started talking up a storm. Some things he says are: Mommy (the cutest thing he says by far, but you have to hear the way he does it to understand) Daddy, Sissy, Lola, Brown Bear, Uh-oh, no, bye-bye, night night, Bubby, Boppy, quacks like a duck, barks like a dog, puppy, baby, Pop, ball, Day Day (Davis), and he tries really hard to say baseball. He keeps us laughing all the time!

As for me and Cam, just lots of work. Cameron was working in Florida last week, but luckily wasn't in the hurricane area and got home just fine. My grad class started tonight and it's probably not going to be much fun. It's a research class, yuck!! All in all, we're great and feeling very blessed as usual.
