Labor Day, School & a 'lil Gustav

We did pretty much nothing over Labor Day weekend and we loved it. Especially since school has started back, we feel like we go all the time. It was nice just being at home and getting to relax. We did a lot of napping, some cooking and baking, and listened to the Hog game.
Today was a little more eventful than our previous weekend thanks to the affects of Gustav. Syd and I headed to school as usual and Cam was dropping Carson off at daycare for me. Little did I know that there was no electricity at Fulbright or Carson's daycare. There was nothing on the news this morning about our school being closed so tons of parents were trying to drop their kids off and of course the buses were running. They managed to catch all of the parents dropping kids off and tell them there was no school, but we were left with a dark cafeteria full of bus riders. Thank the good Lord for the invention of the cell phone. All the teachers whipped them out and started calling parents to come get their kiddos. I finally got to leave just before 9 and headed home so Cameron could get to work. The kids and I are having a great time being at home together today, but we probably won't be too thrilled come June 3rd when we should be out of school but are making up this day. Below are a few pics from our day off and FINALLY, Syd's first day of second grade picture. Enjoy!!
