Our Little Cheerleader

Fulbright (Syd's school) had cheerleading try-outs today and, drum roll please...SYDNEY MADE IT! So let's go ahead and clear up your questions first. Who do they cheer for? Do you have a football or basketball team? What's the big deal? Regretfully I admit that those were all legitimate questions when Anna Carol and I were in charge (no offense AC) two years ago, but things have changed since Micah took over. They don't have any sort of team to cheer for but it is a HUGE deal. There were 95 girls in 2nd - 5th grade that tried out. Four UCA cheerleaders came to judge and 26 girls were chosen. Sydney is so excited!! They have been learning a cheer and dance since Monday and she worked so hard. She will get to cheer at a Twister's game at Alltel, a UALR basketball game, and at lots of school assemblies. Micah, their coach, is awesome! She is so good with the girls and puts together the cutest routines. I hate that I don't have a picture but Cameron has the camera in Holland. We're so proud of you Syd!!

Here's a little update on what's going on with the rest of us. Cameron has been in Holland all week and is enjoying seeing a new place. I'm leaving tomorrow to meet him and we'll be staying in Paris for two days, then London for a couple. I'm very excited but getting a little emotional about being that far away from my babies. I had my first breakdown yesterday, sorry Jennifer, and am really afraid I won't be able to leave daycare tomorrow. I'm sure I'll get through it some how but I sure will miss them. I know they'll be well cared for. Thanks to everyone that is helping us out. We're so blessed to have such great family and friends.

Carson has two top molars now, and has finally stopped hitting and pinching at daycare. Yea! His vocab is really blooming, he tries to repeat everything I say.

I also need to give an early birthday wish to my precious nephew Davis since we'll be missing his first party. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAV-O! We promise a really cool gift from our trip.

Check back soon for lots of Europe pictures and please pray for our safe travel. I'm a little nervous about the flights.
