My Soon To Be Nephew "Davis"

Ashley isn't doing a very good job updating their blog (just teasing Ash), so I thought I would show off my first nephew, Davis Ryan Atkins. Davis should be joining us in mid September. This ultrasound was done back in April and I think they are having another one next week, so hopefully she'll have a new picture on her blog soon. I think their computer has been a little stubborn lately. We can't wait for him to get here and Ashley just looks adorable!!

Rub-A-Dub-Dub, Splashin' in the Tub

Okay, I know there is ton of pictures that look very similar in this post, but I just couldn't choose. They were all so cute!! Carson LOVES bath time with Daddy (he's the bath guy, Mommy watches). He is a splashin' machine. It is so fun to watch and since you can't all be at our house for bath time, I wanted to share these pictures.

Mommy's 24th Birthday

Yesterday was my 24th birthday (and Flag Day... Boni) and it was a great day. My wonderful husband and children gave me a watch I had been wanting and some picture software for my computer. Sydney also wrote me a sweet note and wrapped it up all by herself. Thanks to everyone else for happy birthday wishes, cards, and gifts. I am so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends in my life.

Today Anna Carol, Erin, Ashley, Ashley H., Kerri, Will, Sarah, Lyla, Laura, Megan, Sydney, Carson, and I got together for lunch at U.S. Pizza. We had a great time, but I'm sure they were glad to see us go!!

Can't wait till next time! You guys are all great friends and so much fun to be around.

I haven't posted any pictures in a while so I wanted to get a few new ones on here. Carson's looks change every day. As you can see from above, Sydney is still a great big sister...she's even changed a few diapers and outfits here lately. She is such a BIG help!!

Mark and Kristin - We are so glad you guys came down for dinner last weekend. We had so much fun and hopefully we'll get to Conway soon to see ya'll.

At the Movies

Sydney, Carson, and I went to the movies yesterday with Kerri, Will, and Erin. They are showing reruns of recent children's movies at the Rave for free this summer, so we thought we'd give it a try. Sydney has been to the movies a lot so of course she loved it, Will did great for his first time at the movies, and Carson was happy as can be as long as we weren't in the theater. He hated the loud noise and started crying as when the movie started. As soon as we walked out of the theater door he was fine. Every now and then I would walk back in to see if he would be okay...NO WAY! He would start whimpering as soon as I reached the door. He finally tuckered out after being awake for about 4 hours with maybe 15 minutes of nap and I got to watch the last 20 minutes of the movie.

Update

Sorry I haven't posted in a while...we're just not that exciting. Actually I went back to work last Monday for 3 and 1/2 days, so I was a little busy. I'm officially off again since school is out for summer. Thank you so much to Kelly, and Christa for keeping Carson and to Kerri for keeping both my kiddos. You were all such a big help!!

Sydney and Carson are both doing great. Syd is so happy to be out of school for the summer, but Carson and I are a little boring to her. She has VBS next week so maybe that will help. She got to go fishing the other night with several of her friends and had a great time. We are planning to go to the movies with Kerri and Will some and will have some friends over, so hopefully she won't be "so bored" all summer. Carson has slept all night a couple of times... from about 9-5:30. YEA!! He is getting so big. He is talking all the time, loves to splash in the bath, rolls over from his stomach to his back easily, and is just so darn cute. He is a little spoiled when it comes to nap time in the afternoon. I am trying to get him on a good schedule now that we don't have to pick Sydney up every afternoon, but he refuses to nap in his bed. He sleeps great there at night, but the past two days he has cried for 2 hours when I put him down for a nap and of course I finally just go get him up. We have tried going in several times to give him his passy and pat his belly, but that only works for about 5 minutes at a time. As soon as you pick him up he stops crying and falls asleep. Hopefully we'll get that all worked out soon.

We have a lot going on this week...my 24th birthday, our 1 year anniversary, and Father's Day, but hopefully I'll have time to post some new pictures.
