A Night @ Home

We love Saturdays at home!! The last few weekends have been busy so this one was great, despite the rain. We also had a great Valentine's Day this past Thursday, although I didn't get any pictures. I had class at UCA from 6-9 so I got up early and made heart-shaped pancakes before school. In case your wondering this is not our typical breakfast on school mornings...it's pop-tarts and cereal. It was a crazy day at school due to parties and way too much sugar, then off to my grad class. Our professor did let us out early and Cameron & Sydney had a very sweet surprise for me when I got home. They had gotten a few different desserts at the Fresh Market and had flowers and candles on the table. Sydney greeted me at the door and was our waitress. She was so cute!! We had a great time sharing the awesome desserts between the three of us. I hate that Carson had to miss it, but it was past his bedtime.
Syd wasn't really interested in having her picture taken but I managed to get one. She had another basketball game yesterday and did a great job. She scored two points and had a ton of steals. She is really enjoying it and getting better every week. I missed the game today because I was helping with Anna Carol's baby shower and Cam said I couldn't come anymore because she did so well. I think we're down to only 3 more games.
" Mommy's shoe strings are yummy."

Carson @ 10 and a half months
Climbing on everything...we are constantly getting him away from the hearth.
"Let's see, what should I have for dinner?"
"I think I'll just climb on in to get a better look."
Carson loves his Elmo truck that he got for Christmas. He drives it all around the house...we love to watch because he seems like a "real little boy" playing instead of a baby. They grow up so fast!!

Update

Wow! This past week was very busy. Besides work, class, basketball practice, and Awanas, Cam was in Florida all week for work. He flew home Friday night and we're so glad he's back!! Carson started running a low fever Sunday night...of course right after Cam left. Luckily it only lasted a day or two and was just teething. We kept Sydney's friend Landyn Thursday night while her mom was out of town and she ended up staying Friday night as well. Lolli, Pop, and Haydon came up Saturday morning, and Mimi and Bubby came up later in the day. My cousin Kayla's wedding shower was today and we went to the Sangalli's for a Superbowl party tonight. Of course we had a blast doing it all. I don't think I'd know what to do if life wasn't busy. :)
*Thanks for all your help Christa, Ryan, and Ashley!
Enjoy a few cute pictures.

10 Months

Crazy Hair!!
Carson was 10 months old this past Wednesday. He SOOO much fun right now!! (not sure on weight or any of that at the moment) He is crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything. He has also started standing up at doors and cabinets where there is nothing to pull up on. He talks all the time, loves dogs, waves, gives five, and claps. He is back to Mama being his favorite word again, but says bye-bye, Dada, this thee (Sissy), and ba ba. He still loves bathtime...he'll crawl into the bathroom, stand beside the tub, and hollar "BABABABABA". He loves to eat "real" food, nutri-grain bars, potatoes, veggies, hot dogs, fruit, Yo-Baby yogurt, bread. His two top teeth have just broken through and He loves to chew on beef jerky! I can't believe it's just 2 more months until his first birthday. Time flies when you're having fun!!

Happenings @ the Arnold House

Well, we're back in full swing with school, work, and grad school. It's typically pretty busy at our house. Sydney is doing great in school and enjoying basketball. She will also be running in the Little Rockers Marathon in March. Carson has become "that kid that bites" at daycare. They really aren't sure if he's biting or just putting his mouth on the other babies. He hasn't left any marks yet, and hopefully won't. It's pretty difficult to figure out a way to break a 10 month old of biting, but we're trying. He has learned to clap and LOVES table food. Cam is getting ready for a trip to Florida in the next couple weeks. He is going to a convention at Disney World for work. I've been busy as usual but had a fun girls day with my friend Kristin this afternoon. She came down for lunch and to watch 27 Dresses. It was great!! Cameron, the kiddos, and I also met our friends Donnie, Valerie, and their son Kyle for dinner tonight. It was great getting to visit with them. We are looking forward to our Sunday afternoon nap tomorrow and a day off of school Monday. (thanks MLK) :)

Sydney's 1st Basketball Game

Clapping for Sissy
Watching the game with Daddy

Watching the shot
Bringing the ball down the court
Passing it in
"Hey, look at me...I'm open"

Today was Sydney's first basketball game. She did a great job and had a blast. She says she LOVES basketball. It was a little rough at the beginning, but she really caught on by the end. She didn't score in this game, but almost made 2 good shots, had 2 steals, and made some really good passes. After the game she received the red star for best defense on her team. I'm so glad she had fun and can't wait for next Saturday!!

9 Months

My little man turned 9 months old December 30th and we went for his check up today. Dr. O'Neill, our usual doctor, wasn't available until after school started back so we saw Dr. Malak. She said he was just perfect. We also got his flu shot today.
Weight: 19 lb. 2 oz.
Length: 27 1/2 in.
Head: 45 1/2 cm.
Eating: 6 oz. bottle every 3-4 hours. Loves table food... anything we eat and can mash up he'll eat, lots of different baby food (won't eat green baby food), fruit and veggie puffs, bitter biscuits, likes to chew on beef jerky.
Sleeping: Usually goes to bed at 8:30 and gets up when I wake him up for school in the morning, will sleep until 7:30 or 8:00 on weekends. Carson is a great napper!!
Development: Talks all the time, waves bye-bye and gives high-fives, crawling, pulling up on everything, trying to transfer from one thing to the other while standing, mocks whatever you do, can say Ma Ma, Da Da, and trys so hard to say Sissy...it's a little more thesthee. He loves to wrestle around with his daddy and will do anything Sydney wants. Smiles and laughs all the time!!
