Sydney's Sweet Boppy

Last week was Grandparent's Week at Fulbright. Boppy, my dad, drove up (2 and 1/2 hours) to have lunch with Sydney. She's a pretty lucky girl to have such sweet grandparents. I have to mention since I don't think a picture made the blog that Nana came up to eat with her last year. I think Boppy had just as much fun as Sydney. After lunch he read a book to her class, and I heard from Syd's teacher that he was wonderful. She said he was so funny and he had all the kids wanting to crawl up in his lap before he left. He also got to run mini miles with Syd in PE. This helped her get triple miles for the Amazing Race they have going at school. Thanks Dad for being there for her. We love you!
Sorry the picture is a little blurry. My scanner isn't working and I had to take a picture of a picture.

I've been Tagged!

Thanks, Boni for tagging me. I never know what to say on this kind of stuff.

So, the rules are, I have to list 7 random things about myself:

1. I'm OCD about a lot of things, especially when it comes to having my classroom organized. Oh and, when participating in group activities at in-services where writing things on a poster is involved. Right Ash?

2. I used to call my daddy "Doddy" when I was little.

3. They thought I was going to be a boy when I was born, but as you know I'm not. When I was little I used to think that I was going to turn into a boy on a certain birthday. Thankfully, I was wrong. :)

4. I ate pineapples everyday when I was pregnant with Carson.

5. I had a little panic attack on the escalator down to the subway in London and Cameron got a little frustrated with me. One of the main lines was down so of course it was very overcrowded at 5:00 p.m. (rush hour). The people at the bottom of the escalator were piling up and others started jumping over the side of the escalator and I freaked out, a little claustrophobic. Luckily someone stopped the escalator and we got out of there eventually.

6. I love to eat hot dog buns with ketchup...no hot dog!

7. I'm addicted to happy hour! Don't worry, it's just a large vanilla Dr. Pepper from Sonic.

Now, I tag Anna Carol, Sarah, Valerie, Ginny, Ashley, Stephanie, and Erin.

Daddy's 'lil Cowboy Fan

If you don't already know, Cameron is a big Cowboys fan. Carson recently started wearing Cam's Cowboys hat around everywhere. Cameron loves it and it's pretty darn cute.

Look for new pictures of Syd soon!!

Carson's Haircut

This was Carson's wet hair before the haircut he got on Saturday. I love the curls but I'll admit they were getting a little long. His daddy insisted on a trim.
This sucker helped keep him occupied during the cut.
Carson probably thinking, "Why does this lady have something sharp by my head?"
The handsome man and his mommy all trimmed and ready for church.
Still shaggy with a few curls but much better. What do you think?

Europe Pictures, FINALLY

I finally had a little time to sort through the 700 pictures we took on our trip and get some posted. The one above is one of my favorites and there are several others showing some of the sites we saw in the slide shows below. It was really difficult to decide which ones to post so I may add some more later. We had a great time and survived the jet lag. We got to see most of the things we wanted to in Paris, the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, Notre Dame, the Rodan Museum, the Obelisk, Luxembourg Garden, and many other things. The only thing we missed and wanted to see was Napoleon's tomb, it was closed on Sunday. In London we toured Buckingham Palace, the Royal Mews (stables), the Tower of London (saw the Crown Jewels), Westminster Abbey, Hyde Park, and shopped at Harrod's. There were a lot of places in London that wouldn't let you take pictures inside, like Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey. We couldn't take pictures of the Crown Jewels either. You can't even stop and look at them, instead you ride by on a conveyor belt. Cameron's favorite was Westminster Abbey but we probably like Paris better overall. We rode lots of planes, trains, and subways and were so glad to be home to our kids, cars, and bed. Oh and, our regular old dollar too. The exchange rate in Paris was about 1.40 and was almost double in London.
On the kids note, Sydney was thrilled to see us but Carson not so much. He was MAD at me and let me know it. He honestly treated me like a grown person would, he ignored me for a whole night. I guess he got his point across and I won't be leaving him any time soon!
Thanks again to everyone that helped with the kids while we were gone. We love you guys!
