Family Update

The past week or two have been very busy for our family and I haven't had much time for blogging. I've got lots to add!! Carson is now seven months old, sitting up by himself, and trying to crawl. His two bottom teeth came through last weekend, and we've just finished a steroid to take care his case of croup. Sydney is doing great in school. She did wonderful on her first 9 weeks report card...all 2's and 3's (on and above grade level) and a 99% in math. Her reading level is 2 points away from what they expect at the end of first grade, so she's moving right along. We're very proud of her. She also went to the Hall of Fame assembly last week at school. I didn't get the note about it so there are no pictures, but she got a certificate and a free meal at Purple Cow. I had to take her to the doctor yesterday and we found out that she has walking pneumonia. We have started her meds and hopefully it will be cleared up soon. We're counting the days till the Hannah Montana concert! Sydney and Bradi are so excited. I'm still busy, busy, busy with school (work) and school (UCA). My first 6 hours of grad school are beginning to wind down and Christmas break is coming soon. YEA! Cameron just got a promotion at work...we're very excited and proud of him. He is on his way back from a business trip to Florida, on which he was told he'd be going to a "work conference" at Disney World in January. I'm a little disappointed that the kids and I (at least Syd) won't be able to take that trip with him. Here are some pictures of what we've been doing lately.
Sydney and Carson have been doing lots of playing at home. She is great with him and he's getting big enough to play with her more. They keep us laughing! My friend Sarah and her daughter Lyla came in from OKC to visit. Several of us got together for lunch last Saturday. We had a great time gabbing as usual. Our waiter obviously wasn't a professional photographer.

Carson missed out on all the fun because he was sick. I didn't think everyone else would appreciate children with croup. He stayed home and napped with his Daddy.

GO HOGS!!

CONGRATULATIONS BUBBY!!!

Today my little brother, Kyle, verbally committed to play baseball for the Arkansas Razorbacks next year. This is his senior year of high school, which I can't believe. He has hoped to play baseball at Fayetteville since he was just a little guy and we're so proud of him for accomplishing that goal.

We love you Bubby!!

Pumpkin Patch

What a pretty girl

No pictures please
Sydney riding the John Deere train

Cameron, Sydney, Carson, and I went to the pumpkin patch in Mayflower today. We had a blast...it was a beautiful day. I know there are lots of pictures, but I just couldn't choose. There would have been many more, but every time I tried to get cute pictures of Syd and Carson, he would get distracted and refuse to look at the camera. They really enjoyed the hayride, and Syd loved riding the train through the corn maze, sliding, and playing in the hay. Unfortunately we hurried home to be very disappointed by Razorback game. Hopefully next week will be better, but I definitely won't hold my breath.

Fulbright's Fall Carnival

Sydney and Emma after getting Emma's hair sprayed green
Olivia (wonder woman), Sydney, Landyn (not sure who she is)
Carson asking Sissy, "Who are all these people?"

Friday was the Fall Carnival at Fulbright. Sydney had a great time playing with her friends and watching Mommy get dunked in the dunk tank. Carson loved people watching. He wasn't sure what to make of all the people.

6 Months

We went for Carson's 6 month check up this last Friday. Dr. O'Neill said he was a perfect baby and everything is going great. Of course he didn't like the shots, and neither did Sydney, but we found out that at his 9 month visit there will be no shots. Yea!!! Here are his stats:

Weight: 17 lbs. 3.5 oz. (average)
Length: 27 in. (just above average)
Development: rolling over both ways, sitting up very well (but I won't get far from him just yet), laughing, smiling, and talking all the time. (ba ba ba, ma ma :), playing with a sippy cup, beginning to hold his bottle some, grabbing anything he wants.
Eating: 6 oz. every 3-4 hours, 1st and 2nd baby foods (pretty picky), mashed potatoes
Sleeping: Carson is a great napper at daycare, goes to bed at 8:30 and gets up anywhere between 5:30 and 6:30, but on weekends he'll sleep until 8 or so when we put him in bed with us in the morning.

My Little Carsy-man

Carson is 6 months old today!!
Sleepy, sleepy boy

Just wanted to share these cute pictures of my little Carsy-man. He is 6 months old today! We have his check-up and shots this Friday. I'll give a complete update then. Pray that he does well with the shots. He hasn't had allergic reactions with the others (thanks goodness), but has always ran a day or two of fever and not felt very well.
