2 Months Old

Carson is 2 months old today, so we went to see Dr. O'Neill for a check up and shots. The check up went great, but the shots not so much. The doctor said he looked great from head to toe! He was very impressed that Carson had already rolled over several times. He told us that rolling over is a 4 month skill. Yea Carson!!

Weight: 12 lbs 1.5 oz.

Height: 22 1/4 in

Head: 15.9 in

Development: smiling, cooing, rolling over, very alert

Eating: 4-5 oz. every 3-4 hours, a little cereal before bed

Sleeping: Sleeps 6-7 hours at a time at night, usually wakes for a bottle anywhere between 2:30 and 4:00 and goes back to sleep for 2-3 hours. Sleeping during the day doesn't have much of a routine, just whenever he gets sleepy.

Carson had 3 shots today and did not like them. He screamed and squeezed Cameron's fingers while the nurse gave him the shots, but wasn't hard to calm down afterwards. Of course Mommy babied him when we got home and he took a good nap. After picking Sydney up from school he got very fussy and didn't want his right leg to be touched at all. He is not one to cry inconsolably, but did for a while this afternoon. Nothing I tried worked until I put him in his swing. (Thanks Sarah!) He still whined every now and then, but nothing like he was. I guess it felt better to not have anything touching his leg. Hopefully he'll be feeling better soon.
